Thursday 5th of November the contract signing took place between the representative of the Minister for Development Cooperation (the Netherlands) and Damen Shipyards Hardinxveld, for the design, construction and delivery of a 21m self-propelled ferry for the municipality of Vukovar, Croatia.

Following a European tender procedure the initial award took place on the 16^th of October 2009. The ferry shall be used on the river Danube between Vukovar (Croatia) and Bac (Serbia) and will replace the current vessel. The vessel is equipped with two thrusters and two manual loading ramps, it will have a capacity of 2 passenger cars, 25 passengers or 1 truck, without trailer. The vessel is expected to be delivered in October 2010.
