On the 7th of July, 1 year after contract signing, and a long designing
period before that, it was time to hand over the "Gorinchem X".
Damen Shipyards Hardinxveld delivered the Damen River Rescue Ferry
1605 to the town of Gorinchem, the christening was performed by
Mrs Hannie Hania, town councillor.
The very unique vessel is to be used as ferry / taxi services as well as
fire fighting vessel and has a speed of approx. 40 km/hr.
